The 10 man raid I'm in already has 3 healers.  Sorry man,  Sad  I think Kardinal is in a raid, check with him.

Okay, so the 10-man Naxx run I was on failed to mention that I was a replacement healer or that I wasn't raiding this week. I'm a little peeved, but that's a different story.

I would like to raid again. I like to think I'm reasonably competent at what I do, so I'm making myself available.

Anyone got any openings for a healadin?

Thanks, Bera.  I figured the Sentinel crowd would not be down for this, which is fine.

I don't know that "Raid Leader" access is needed here, I figured I'd just run most things in a thread or something.  But if you think it'd be helpful, that's fine.

As for Raid Ninja, I noticed the URL is still there, but is it actually active?  If so, RN access here would be fantastic.

Great idea Kard, thanks for filling in a niche here.  I won't be able to join as I'm already committed to a hardcore progression raid, but I think it's a neat idea.  Also, that find for the loot council site is really great.  So, let me know if you want Raid Leader Access here and on TRaid's RNinija site.

Thanks

Announcing: Night Owl Raid Group (NORG)

"The early bird can have the worm; it's not epic enough for us."

For the record, this is not a Trimmer thing.  This is a Kardinal thing cuz I just felt like I haven't been able to do cool things because of my schedule.  I take responsibility for organizing and leading it, but I hope it's going to be informal, casual, and fun.

There are almost certainly people out there who can't group, much less raid, until later at night.  So we could use a group to do Heroics, and later Raid, regularly on our schedule.

If you identify with these principles, the NORG might be for you.

1) Would like to raid between 10pm and 2am Eastern time.  Ish.  Times are somewhat flexible.
2) Interested in 10-man content primarily, not 25-man content.  This may be flexible later on, but the focus is not 25-man.  VoA would be an exception I can think of immediately.
3) Willing to be on TeamSpeak or Ventrillo for every raid, both able to speak and hear, and not interested in hearing cursing, racist, sexist, political, religious, or any other controversial comments on it.
4) Dedicated to showing up for the raid on time, fully prepared to raid, fully repaired, with buff food, flasks, and already having studied the encounter.
5) Interested in a loot council or loot list manner of loot distribution.
6) Enjoy a casual atmosphere as long as the above are met.  That is, we will not be casual about being on time or being prepared or having read up on the fight in advance.  We will be casual about making funny comments during the raid, not berating people for failures, and generally laughing a lot while we kick tail.
7) Not interested in a hardcore progression raid.  If that's for you, that's not what NORG is about.
8 ) Aversion to drama.  Everyone has a real life which is much more important than WoW.  We gots no time for drama.  If drama rears its ugly head, we will try to resolve it quickly, but if isn't resolved quickly, the cause of the drama will simply not be invited to join us anymore.  This includes loot drama, late drama, unprepared drama, personality conflicts, rude behavior, and general asshatery.

If this sounds like you, let me know.  Best way to contact me is email me at jeff - stevens net, which is my first name at my last name period net.  Or contact me in game.  Or PM me here.

Some administrative details:

We will host our events on a RaidNinja somewhere, or maybe on Calendar in game.  I haven't worked out which forums to host it on, but it would be best to find somewhere neutral where everyone has an account already.  I know I hate making a new account for every forum under the sun.
We'll work out among us what are good times for Heroics and Raids once we see who's signed up and what nights are good for them.
We'll work out who will play what roles (MT, OT, healers, DPS, etc) based on who signs up.
I think I'm going to try using the Loot Council web site, http://loot-council.appspot.com/, to allocate loot.  It will be modified by attendance and veteran status in the group, though.

Anyway, comments are welcome on this thread, as well as postings of interest in joining us.

Ok...so now that we've had a few days to level and such, and there has already been world first 25-man Naxx clears, I'm sure everyone has their sights set on reaching Naxxramas and, more importantly, what is Trimmer Raid going to do about it?

Trimmer Raid, as always, is a place where Trimmers and their friends can come to organize themselves for the raiding aspect of WoW.  As such, I hope to provide the organization to allow people to move into the raiding in a seamless manner.

So far, there aren't alot of people who are even in their mid 70's yet.  So we are probably about a month or so away from thinking about the getting the first Trimmer Raid group headed into Naxx.  Lots of gear will be needed, since there aren't any of us who has a full set of T6/Sunwell gear.  I would say that anyone in a full set of T5/ZA gear will probably lose it all by the time they finish their leveling to 80.  And then the subsequent gearing up in heroics and such will more than likely get you where you need to be for Naxx.

One thing to remember, when signing up for any raids, is that we will be setting them up based on how much time you can commit to that raid.  People who only have 3-4 hours to commit, one day a week, should probably figure out who they are and find the day that suits them best.

Those who have like 2 days or more to commit, will probably find it easier to organize themselves on the Trimmer Raid site.  Sentinel (The Trimmers Raiding Guild), has already committed themselves to 3 days of raiding.

The more groups we can get going, the better off we will be.  Time and commitment level will dictate who is in what group.  From there, I will do my best to organize the group to get it to operate smoothly so that all you have to do is work together with your group to see as much of the content as possible, within that commitment range.

As always, should you have any questions, please seek me out.  I am available most of the time, as long as a paper isn't due or a test isn't approaching.  If you should catch me in the middle of a fight, all my tells are caught by instant messenger so I may not be able to tell who is asking what, so please be patient with a timely repsponse.

I am here to help serve the Trimmers for their raiding experience, so please make use of my abilities, at your leisure.

Good luck to everyone Smiley

Ok, figured it out.  Enjoy.

Ok, I just re-read what I posted and I was particularly obtuse... sorry 'bout that.   I upgraded the forums which broke the old theme so I had to replace the theme.  Of course now that I upgraded the forums, another version came out *sigh*.  Anyway, I won't be updating until I can make sure all our mods work with the new version.

Oh, I get it... yeah, that was a mod to the theme.  I'll try to recreate it someday.

Lee Van Cleef, as far as I know, is dead.

Other than that...the Raid Ninja is still there.
